The Singapore edition of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation’s (PHDC) Let’s Go to Asia initiative commenced with enthusiasm on Monday, August 25, 2025, as the team embarked on a series of significant activities to foster collaboration and learning.
Led by PHDC’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Toni Aubynn, the delegation included representatives from reputable private institutions such as Rockfield Mining, Strategic Initiatives, Arch Portfolio, Mannschaft Engineering, and Southey Contracting.
The delegation’s first major activity was a working and learning visit to Surbana Jurong, a leading Singapore-based global consulting firm specialising in urban development, infrastructure, and managed services.
The team, which also included members of Ghana’s Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy, engaged with the firm’s leadership to gain insights into its operations and explore how its successes could be replicated in Ghana.
During a comprehensive tour of the company, the delegation received detailed information about its operations and experienced its processes firsthand.
Following this, the team met with senior officials of the Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) and the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI) to explore networking and partnership opportunities.
These engagements allowed the delegation to gain valuable insights and establish prospective collaborations in sectors such as oil and gas, transportation, logistics, and technology.
The day concluded with participation in the AB and David cocktail event, marking the launch of the law firm’s Singapore office.
This event provided the PHDC and the delegation an opportunity to connect with executives from private and public institutions across Asia and Africa.
All activities are part of PHDC’s participation in the 2025 Africa-Singapore Business Forum, held from August 26 to August 28, 2025.
