The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), Dr. Toni Aubynn, continues to lead efforts to attract strategic investments for Ghana’s ambitious Petroleum Hub project. His latest engagement involved high-level discussions with Mr. Alexander Chen, West and Central Africa Chief Representative of Sinohydro Corporation Limited.
Returning from the Global Energy Show in Canada, where he spent over a week engaging global investors, Dr. Aubynn met with senior officials of Sinohydro to explore potential collaboration and investment opportunities for the development of the Petroleum Hub.
Sinohydro, renowned for its vast infrastructure portfolio including water systems, hydropower, airports, roads, ports, and housing, presents a compelling potential partner for the PHDC. Dr. Aubynn emphasized the alignment between Sinohydro’s capabilities and the strategic infrastructure needs of the Hub project.
A committed advocate for the Petroleum Hub as a catalyst for Ghana’s energy transformation, Dr. Aubynn is leaving no stone unturned in mobilizing support and securing financing to drive the project forward.
In a recent presentation to the Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy, he reiterated the need for a unified national effort to support the Petroleum Hub, describing it as a generational opportunity for economic growth and energy independence.
Through continued engagements with global investors and development partners, Dr. Aubynn is positioning the Petroleum Hub as a transformative initiative, promising significant returns for both investors and the Ghanaian economy.
