The Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), Dr. Toni Aubynn, will embark on his first official visit to the Jomoro Municipality—home to the ambitious Petroleum Hub project.

Scheduled for Friday, April 11 to Saturday, April 12, 2025, the visit will see Dr. Aubynn lead a high-level delegation comprising deputy CEOs and directors of the Corporation to engage in a series of strategic activities within the municipality.

During the two-day working visit, Dr. Aubynn and his team will pay a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Western Nzema Traditional Council, Awulae Annor Adjaye III. The delegation will also engage in vital stakeholder consultations, including meetings with chiefs from affected communities and an interaction with the Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency, Hon. Dorcas Afo-Toffey.

The visit will culminate with a tour of the project site at Old Kabenla Suazo in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region.

This official tour follows the Government of Ghana’s allocation of GHC 1.2 billion in compensation for landowners whose properties were acquired for the development of the Petroleum Hub.

In a recent interview with GTV, Dr. Toni Aubynn emphasized that the compensation remains a key priority for the government, noting that disbursement will be executed in four tranches over a four-year period.
