AWULAE ANNOR ADJAYE III - Paramount Chief of the Western Nzema Traditional Area

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Awulae Annor Adjaye III is the Paramount Chief of Western Nzema Traditional Council, Beyin. He is very knowledgeable and a qualified certificate “A” teacher. He has served as an Assistant Director and Superintendent of education at the Ghana Education Service.

Awulae Annor Adjaye III has served as a Chairman for the Nzema Maanle Council for eight years and has experience working with individuals from various backgrounds.

He is well-known for his leadership skills, hard work and drive for excellence.

Awulae Annor Adjaye III has attended a number of trainings with reputable institutions including university of Ghana, University of Cape Coast and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Charles Owusu - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Charles Owusu has more than a decade’s wealth of experience and expertise in oil and gas, power, shipping and ports, mining, FMCG industries and a stinct at consulting with Deloitte.

He has both national and international exposure through work and engagements with the Ministry of Finance, Deloitte, Blue Ocean Investments (Bulk Oil Distribution Company) now Puma Energy and the Energy Commission of Ghana. His keen interest and knack for the oil and gas industry earned him an adjunct-lectureship service at Central University College-Ghana, where he trained executive scholars.

He is well-skilled and has mastery in public and private bond issuance, corporate business tax, transfer pricing, tax due diligence/compliance, taxation, oil trading, power regulations and financial services

His critical thinking and unmatched work ethic as well as excellent client relationship skills have resulted in the provision of clear cut and tailored solutions, design of actionable policy, development of strategies and creation of manuals.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Technical Advisor to Minister of Finance
• Coordinated the special purpose vehicle to initiate a 10-year ESLA Bond programme of GHS10 billion.

• Facilitated in delivering four consecutive Ghana Eurobond roadshows from 2018-2021 of US$9 billion (US$3 billion each year) as budget support and liability management.

• Led in the BDCs and GoG Negotiation on US$1.43 billion legacy debts from 2011 to 2015.

• Led a team to establish SMEs Credit Fund to fill the gap created due to the financial sector clean up.

• Led the timely disbursement of GHS1.2 billion Coronavirus Alleviation Programme [CAP] funds.

• Played a key role in domestic revenue mobilization institutions reforms to build efficient and responsive revenue authority.

• Tax Audit Transformation Advisor – Ghana Revenue Authority.

• Led a team to establish a manufacturing plant towards National Digital Literacy Project (NDLP).

Dr. Humphrey Ayim Darke - PRESIDENT, ASSOCIATION OF GHANA INDUSTRIES (AGI)

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Dr. Humphrey Kwesi Ayim-Darke, is a Ghanaian Industrialist, Entrepreneur and Management Consultant, with a career spanning over twenty-two years in Management & Organisational Development Consulting, Industrial Packaging, Bulk Haulage and Mining.

He is the founder and Executive Chairman of RedMoon Resources Limited, an industrial resources mining and bulk haulage company as well as Hamdark Industrial Packaging Limited, an industrial bag-production company.

Dr. Ayim Darke has been at the forefront of industry advocacy and local content policy advocacy for the last fifteen years, leading and/or being a part of the Skills Development & Job Creation Committees, the AGI SME Charter and the Economic Affairs Committee.

His drive and passion have earned him board memberships with the Ghana Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation (GIADEC), Ghana National Plastic Action Partnership (MESTI), Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), the Ghana Petroleum Hub and directorship of the W.E.B. Du Bois Museum Foundation, Ghana. Dr. Ayim Darke, through his influential leadership has inspired phenomenal personal growth for himself and his corporate associations. His recognition as a young leader/ entrepreneur by the Crans Montana Foundation in Belgium in 2010 was only testament to his managerial dexterity.

Dr. Humphrey Kwesi Ayim-Darke holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the Swiss Business School (SBS) Geneva, a Master’s (MA) in Applied Business Research from the Swiss Business School (SBS) Geneva, a Master of Arts (MA) in Organisational Development from the University of Cape Coast and is also an alumnus of the GIMPA Law School.

Mr. Yaw Agyemang-Duah is a Chemical Engineer by training and has over 4 decades of work experience in a number of strategic industries with particular focus in the oil and gas industry. He has rich experience in organisational governance, strategic management, planning, institution building, restructuring, investment, raising capital and listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange.

He has developed key leadership competencies and is known for his dedication, hard work, foresight and managerial skills. Over the course of his career, he has trained in various capacities and roles and has risen through the ranks.

He has also been trained and certified in corporate governance, strategic marketing management, oil economics & marketing, energy planning and policy, export and import Financing, and economics of Petroleum Arrangements

KEY PROJECTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• Provided strategic leadership and vision to GOIL.

• Worked with Board of Directors and Senior Management team of GOIL to establish, implement and over-see long-term strategies, plans and policies of the Company.

• Contributed to value creation for the Company’s Shareholders by leading the listing of GOIL on the Ghana Stock Exchange through off-loading of 49% State Interest to public shareholders.

Maame Ofewah Sarpong - BOARD MEMBER

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Maame Ofewah Sarpong is a lawyer and academic. Her areas of interest include Corporate, Commercial, International, Environmental and Natural Resource Laws.

Maame is an alumnus of the University of Ghana- Geography & Resource Development, Bachelor of Arts, (B. A); Faculty of Law, Bachelor of Laws (LL. B); the Ghana School of Law (B.L); and the University of Dundee, Scotland, Master of Laws, International Environmental Law (LL.M). She is currently a third year PhD Student in Development Studies at the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER) at the University of Ghana.

Maame entered academia and private legal practice after Graduate School, and has since the year 2014, taught Contract, Torts, Public international law, Environmental and Natural Resource Laws; first at Wisconsin University College and subsequently, at Central University College. She is an associate lawyer at G. A Sarpong & Co., Legal Practitioners and Consultants, Accra.

Maame has been the recipient of awards and scholarships, including: Best Student in Law of Evidence (Graduating Class, Ghana School of Law, 2013) and the prestigious University of Dundee LLM Scholarship (2013). She has published on Contract and Environmental Laws; and attended conferences and workshops in Environmental Law and Policy in Burkina Faso and the United States of America.

She is attended Wesley Girls High School, Cape Coast, and is a member of the Ghana Bar Association. She is married with two children.

Hon. Samuel Erickson Abakah (Esq) - MP - SHAMA CONSTITUENCY

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Abakah is the member of Parliament for Shama and an astute lawyer with over 20 years of experience as a Barrister at Law. He has served in various capacities as a Lawyer including Senior Legal Practitioner for Ogyefo Chambers and Gaisie Zwennes Hughes & Co.

He has contributed significantly on a number of national issues and is currently part of the Board of Directors for the National Health Insurance Authority. He is also serving as the Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Labour, Social Welfare and State Enterprises as well as the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Special Budget. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Integrated Community Centre for Employable Skills under the Ministry of Employment and Labour.

He is skilled in drafting, negotiating and interpreting legal documentation.

Lawyer Abakah as part of his work has published widely on a number of subjects including the following:

Ivy Apea Owusu - BOARD CHAIRPERSON, CHAMBER OF BULK OIL DISTRIBUTORS (CBOD)

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Ivy Apea Owusu is the Chief Executive Officer of Cirrus Oil Services LTD. In this role, she has been instrumental in the successful implementation of the downstream sector deregulation policies and has also spearheaded a wide range of health and education related community activities. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Energy Sector. An energy expert with over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, Ivy previously worked with GE Capital in the US and UK in Energy Structured Finance specializing in both Debt and Equity financing in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Renewable and Ancillary Energy Services Sectors.

Ivy is the board chairman for the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) and also sits on the boards of Woodfields Energy Resources Ltd and Legacy Bonds Ltd. She is a member of the Executive Women’s Network and a Corporate Executive in Residence for University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Department of Accounting. She served as a founding board member of the Women in Energy Ghana Board as well as an advisory board member of the 2019 Africa Oil Week in South Africa.

Ivy has held numerous speaking engagements including Guest Speaker at the 2022 University of Ghana School of Humanities Graduation Ceremony, 2022 USAID Energy Forum, ABSA Bank Ghana International Women’s Day, African Refiners Association South Africa and CWC Energy Ghana.

Ivy holds leadership certificates from both Harvard and Stanford Business Schools in the USA, an MBA from Vanderbilt University in USA and a BA Admin (Accounting) from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Ivy has won numerous awards including the Exceptional Woman in Oil award at the 2021 Instinct Woman Awards and the 2018 Oil and Gas personality of the year at the GOGA Awards. In January 2022, she was named by African Shapers as one of the 100-outstanding female executives in the African Oil and Gas Industry. Ivy is married with two children
