Executives of the Damang Gold Mines Catchment Youth Association in the Western Region paid a courtesy visit to Dr Toni Aubynn, CEO of Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), to discuss development strategies for the people of Wassa, youth employment and overall support from the government.

During the courtesy visit, President of the Damang Gold Mines Catchment Youth Association, Frederick Joe Obeng, lauded President John Mahama for appointing an illustrious Dr Aubynn to lead the Petroleum Hub Project.

Mr Obeng noted that the people of the Western Region are counting on the success of the project and the job opportunities it promises to provide for the youth.

Responding to the grassroots delegation from Damang, Dr Aubynn noted that by June, if the land for the project is secured, a lot of activities will take place in the Nzema area.

โ€œPetroleum Hub is going to absorb pressure from the government in terms of job creation. Letโ€™s be positive; the system is getting better,” he added.

Dr Aubynn reiterated his resolve to help empower constituents from the Prestea Huni-Valley area and offer the needed support systems to residents.

The eight-member delegation pledged to support Dr Aubynn and the government to deliver a better future for the youth and people of Wassa.
